Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga
The Mama Yoga Prenatal Yoga community offers nurturing open-level private and small group classes that are specially designed to cater to the emotional, anatomical, hormonal and muscular changes that occur during pregnancy. Childbirth education and current birthing trends are woven into each class to help you feel more confident and prepared during pregnancy, labor, and motherhood. Mama Yoga also offers Yoga for Labor and Partner Yoga. These specialized classes are designed to help ease the mother-to-be and her partner through the stages of labor with yoga sequences, breath awareness, and restorative postures. Partner work helps to reduce mom’s tension and discomfort, improves her sleep, and increases her circulation. Once you're cleared for exercise following childbirth, yoga can be a great way to build strength, improve posture, increase energy levels, and reduce symptoms of postpartum depression and return you to your pre-pregnancy shape.
